🎙️ Brewing Conversations, One Cup at a Time


Purpose

To create a voice platform where youth, farmers, roasters, baristas, entrepreneurs, and coffee lovers share their journeys, struggles, innovations, and dreams — all centered around Kenyan coffee.


Format & Segments

1. Opening Brew (5 mins)

  • Host introduces the theme of the episode.
  • “What’s brewing today at Barista Mtaani…”

2. Farmer’s Voice (10 mins)

  • Coffee farmers share real stories: struggles with low prices, climate challenges, regenerative practices, and hopes for better markets.

3. Barista Spotlight (10 mins)

  • Youth baristas talk about their journey, coffee skills, hustles, and the culture of coffee in Kenyan towns.

4. Innovation Shot (8 mins)

  • A startup founder or innovator in coffee (packaging, roasting, coffee tourism, fintech for farmers) shares their big idea.

5. CoffeeTales (5 mins)

  • Storytelling section — short poem, song, or story inspired by coffee and Baristas.

6. Global Sip (5 mins)

  • Highlight of global coffee trends (VC interest, rising prices, brewing tech, consumer habits) to connect Kenyan youth to the world.

7. Closing Pour (2 mins)

  • Recap, inspirational quote, and call to action (“Support local coffee, support our farmers”).

  • Relaxed, conversational, with coffeehouse soundscapes in the background (light chatter, clinking cups, brewing sounds).
  • Youth hosts + rotating guest voices (farmers, poets, innovators, global buyers).
  • Episodes: 30–40 minutes, weekly.
